The Vancouver Prostate Centre at VGH is among the top three prostate cancer centres in the world, respected globally for its work in the advancement of prostate cancer treatment and research. As Canada’s largest, most comprehensive prostate facility, it’s where thousands of men from across BC turn to each year for expert care.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. One in seven Canadian men over the age of 50 will be diagnosed with the disease and one in 28 Canadian men will die of it. But with this comes hope, as experts at the Vancouver Prostate Centre continue to focus on improving the quality of life and the lifespans of their patients.

The Centre’s home, in the Robert H.N. Ho Research Centre and the Jack Bell Research Centre, incorporates state-of-the-art research laboratories and a clinical trials facility, where a number of prostate cancer patients from across BC are able to participate in clinical trials. Through innovations such as this, our respected medical experts continue to lead the way for advancements in prostate cancer care and treatment – across the country and around the world.

A tremendous amount has been accomplished by the Centre’s team, but more needs to be done. Donor support will strengthen the ability of these doctors and scientists to help patients and their families.
