Administrators Appreciation Luncheon hosted by VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.

The administrators who work side by side with VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation enable us to achieve our vision to inspire our donors, transform health care and save lives. And as a way to say thank you, every year the Foundation hosts an appreciation luncheon.

This year on Tuesday, November 27 over 70 administrators went “Camping Under the Stars” taking part in campfire activities such as Bean Bag Toss, a marshmallow guessing game and enjoying a delicious buffet of elevated camp-style food, generously donated by Emelle’s Catering.

“We would not be able to achieve the kind of success that we do without the important work of the administrators that we work with day in and day out,” says Barbara Grantham, President and CEO of the Foundation. “They connect us to grateful patients, you help us navigate tours and set schedules. For this we are truly grateful.”

To Donna Olson, an administrator who has worked at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) for 32 years, the luncheon is an event that she looks forward to every year.

“Health care really attracts great people and events like this make me feel appreciated,” says Donna. “I love my colleagues, the work is interesting and challenging, and I’m happy to be part of a great team.”

Thank you to all the VCH administrators who take the time to help us here at the Foundation and make it possible for us to do what we do. You are Vital to improving health care for all British Columbians and we look forward to celebrating again with you next year.
