FEATURED FUND

“The past year has been full of opportunities and some challenges as we continue to create meaningful changes in our health care system.” – Leslie Bonshor, VP, Aboriginal Health, VCH

The Welcoming Space at VGH’s Diamond Family Courtyard is a healing, gathering space and an expression of the link between the land VGH sits on, which are the unceded and traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil Waututh Nations.

Philanthropy is the key to transforming the main entryway spaces at VGH that recognize the link between Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and the Indigenous people in VCH’s care.

FEATURED FUND

Imagine a person struggling with addictions and possible trauma coming in to receive care. Then, imagine they are being asked to transport themselves across different cities and manage their appointments, in addition to having limited transportation and timekeeping options on top of these incredibly challenging issues.

Addiction is a reality for so many people who have found themselves in desperate need of help, and we need to make the system more accessible than ever so that they do not slip through the cracks.

We are fundraising for a Withdrawal Management Centre to help provide a modern solution to substance use.
