Robert H.N. Ho and his family’s distinguished history of philanthropy is based on the belief that one must give before one receives.

VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation thanks him for putting his belief into action, by making a gift that enabled the building of the Robert H.N. Ho Research Centre at Vancouver General Hospital. The Centre is the state-of-the-art home to three world-renowned research programs: the Vancouver Prostate Centre, the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility, and the Ovarian Cancer Research Program.

This building, a philanthropic legacy for our province and landmark facility at VGH, will be home to advances in research that will enable new treatments for British Columbians today and into the future.

In gratitude for and recognition of Mr. Ho’s $15 million donation to this and other areas of care, Vancouver Coastal Health and VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation have named the building in his honour.
