Since its inception 14 years ago, the Ovarian Cancer Research team (OVCARE) has become an international leader in ovarian cancer research. Its successes are changing the way ovarian cancer research is being conducted – and, most importantly, the way patients are treated – not just in British Columbia but around the world.
In 2008, OVCARE researchers discovered that ovarian cancer is not a single disease, but has at least five subtypes that must each be studied andtreated differently. The OVCARE team is attacking this disease from many angles – prevention, early detection and new treatments.
You can help fund further research to help ensure future discoveries so even more lives can be saved.
We hope you will join the OVCARE team in building hope for women with ovarian cancer.
