Lilian Hudson always has a smile for everyone.

For over 30 years, VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation has been honoured and inspired by the incredible spirit and philanthropy of Lilian Hudson, one of our most treasured volunteers. Lilian supports the Mr. Lube Tournament for Life and has volunteered on the Night of a Thousand Stars Gala Committee for 15 years.

On top of all her volunteer hours, Lilian is an inspiring donor. In 1993, she and her late husband, Bill Hudson, established the William and Lilian Hudson Endowment Fund for the newly formed Vancouver Prostate Centre, which has since become a prostate cancer research leader in Canada.

Over the years, Lilian’s contributions have touched a wide range of areas at our hospitals, including OVCARE (ovarian cancer research), the Department of Urologic Sciences, the Renal Dialysis Unit, and many other vital programs.

It’s people like Lilian who inspire us in our daily work. Patients, staff and entire communities benefit from her generosity and kindness. We are indebted to our treasured friend.[:zh]
