On March 26, people around the world wear purple to spark conversation about epilepsy. It’s a simple act. But it shines a light on a condition still clouded by myths and misconceptions. At Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), that awareness connects directly to action — because your support powers BC’s only Epilepsy Program.

About 1 in 100 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. For people living with complex cases, the Seizure Investigation Unit (SIU) at VGH is the only place in the province where they can get the answers they need. Your donation to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation equips this unit with cutting-edge EEG technology. It empowers neurologists and epileptologists like Dr. Chantelle Hrazdil, and nurse clinicians like Keri-Rose Tiessen who guide patients through seizure assessments and treatment.

Donations helped double the bed capacity in the SIU improving access to care so they can assess, diagnose and treat more patients than ever before.

This is world‑class care. And you make it possible.
