The Serein Properties VGH+ Time to Shine Gala concluded with remarkable success, raising $3.09 million in support of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation’s Greater Than Cancer campaign.
Held on May 22, 2026, in Vancouver, the gala brought together more than 400 distinguished guests from the health care, business, philanthropic, and community sectors. The community united through a shared commitment to help Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) build capacity to improve cancer care and research.
Thanks to donor support, the Greater Than Cancer campaign raised more than $39 million to power faster diagnoses, more precise surgeries and innovative treatments for cancer patients across BC.
A celebration of the senses
The rich culture and artistry of Spain inspired the evening, creating a vibrant and elegant atmosphere. From the thoughtfully designed décor and immersive stage production to captivating musical performances, every element reflected a seamless blend of art and exceptional hospitality.
Three-star Michelin Chef Paolo Casagrande, who travelled from Spain to create an exclusive culinary experience, set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Showcasing contemporary Spanish cuisine infused with Mediterranean influences, Chef Casagrande delivered a world-class dining experience that was met with enthusiastic praise.
Renowned Spanish wine producers Gallina de Piel Wines and Vins El Cep elevated the celebration, pairing the menu with exceptional wines that brought the evening’s global inspiration to life.
