Creating a Will Has Never Been Easier:
VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation has partnered with Epilogue, an online will service, to provide a simple and convenient option for creating or updating your will.
Session Details:
Online wills have become an increasingly popular way for people to create an estate plan, but many questions remain. Our guest speaker, Daniel Goldgut, CEO of Epilogue Wills and a former tax and estate lawyer, will lead this discussion.
In this session, you’ll learn:
- What an online will is and how the process works
- Whether online wills are legally valid
- Common misconceptions about online wills
- Signing and witnessing requirements
- The safeguards that help ensure a will is enforceable
We’ll also provide a brief demonstration of the Epilogue platform to show how simple and accessible it can be to create a legally valid will online.
Whether you’re considering creating your own will or simply want to learn more, this session will provide clear, practical information in an approachable and easy-to-understand way.
