Thanks to your philanthropic support of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation’s Brain Breakthroughs campaign, we exceeded our goal and raised $42 million. This incredible achievement is the result of your collective generosity. We thank each individual, family, friend, company and organization whose selfless contribution allowed us to amass truly transformational funding to improve the lives of those impacted by brain disease.

Brain Breakthroughs was a catalyst for making meaningful advances in research and care for well-known diseases such as stroke and Alzheimer’s, and less prominent and often overlooked diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Epilepsy.

Today, we are thrilled to report on what has been accomplished since the campaign launched in 2019. Together, we welcomed exceptional neurologic specialists, introduced groundbreaking technology and launched innovative programming. Your generosity extended across our key sites: Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, and the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health.

Throughout our Brain Breakthroughs campaign, our Cabinet members provided invaluable guidance. These volunteers played an integral role in our success. We are grateful for their leadership and generosity to elevating BC’s health care.
